TAMS II stands for the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme and was announced in June 2015, and is to run until December 2020. This grant scheme is co-funded by the national exchequer and the EU under the Rural Development Programme (2014-2020) with an allocation of over €395 million over the duration of the scheme.
This scheme aims to provide farmers with grant aid to build/improve a specific range of farm buildings and to purchase farm machinery and equipment that will benefit their farming business. TAMS II comprises of the following six individual schemes.
TAMS II 6 Individual Schemes
Young Farmer Capital Investment Scheme (YFCIS).
Dairy Equipment Scheme (DES).
Organic Capital Investment Scheme (OCIS).
Low Emission Slurry Spreading Equipment Scheme (LESS).
Pig and Poultry Investment Scheme (PPIS).
Animal Welfare Safety and Nutrient Storage Scheme (AWNSS).
How do I apply for the TAMS II grant?
Applications for TAMS II must be made online at https://www.agriculture.gov.ie. Clients will require access to the Department's online services prior to applying for TAMS II schemes. You can find the details how to access the forms here.
What is the closing date for the scheme?
The closing date for all schemes is the 31st of December 2020. Any applications that are submitted after this date will not be accepted by the department.
